Editorial Policy
Our editorial purpose is to help readers understand medical equipment, maintenance, and US device information without implying that a web page replaces professional instructions.
Last reviewed:
Selection and research
We prioritize questions relevant to BMETs, clinical engineering teams, and informed readers. Authors check the original source, favor public agency and manufacturer material, and identify when a procedure depends on the exact device model or facility policy.
Evidence and review
Every US technical guide links to the main sources used. Before publication, we check the draft for scope, unsupported claims, working source links, and readability. A named clinical review is displayed only after a qualified professional has completed it.
Dates and corrections
A substantive update changes the visible updated date. Small typographical fixes need not. Readers can send a page URL and supporting source to our correction address. We correct material errors and add an explanatory note when the change affects meaning.
Commercial separation
Ad sales and sponsorship do not determine editorial conclusions. Sponsored content will carry an explicit label and a disclosure of the commercial relationship. See our advertising policy.
